The Sunday Night Spotlight happens every Sunday Night at 8:20 pm!
The Sunday Night Spotlight was created in order to spotlight local talent from our listening area. Stars like Garth Brooks or Shania Twain will always get their songs played on radio stations all over the country, but there's lots of local talent that never gets airplay. My goal is to give some of those local artists a few minutes of airtime each week!

On the last Sunday night of each month, we hold the "Spotlight of the Month" competition. I play the Sunday Night Spotlight picked for that week, then the Spotlight from the previous week, etc. After all songs from that month have been played, I open the phone lines and let listeners call and vote on which song they like best. The one with the most votes at the end of the night is the "Spotlight of the Month" and gets played daily on Y-96 for the next month!
