We've got some exciting news from Southern Idol finalist and Sunday Night Spotlight of the Month Tymber Boswell. She competed in the the Nashville Idol competition last weekend, and she WON! This guarentees her a shot in front of Randy, Simon, and Paula at the Chicago American Idol auditions!

Good luck to Tymber, and we'll keep you up to date as soon as she lets us know if she's going to Hollywood!

Well, we had a little transmitter snafu tonight, so Y-96 was off the air for about four hours. We blew a fuse at the transmitter site, and it took awhile to find one on a Sunday afternoon!

Because of that, we didn't get on the air until almost 9:00 tonight, so there was no Papa John's Brain Buster or Sunday Night Spotlight for tonight. We'll save the Brain Buster question for next week (I really like the question) and do the Spotlight at 8:20 (the normal time) next week. Sorry for the inconvenience!

We look forward to having a special guest in the studio with us next week. All the way from Nashville, Tennessee, our Sunday Night Spotlight is going to come down and talk with us. Make sure you tune in!

We want to say thank you to Chad Smith, Sunday Night Spotlight of the Month from March of this year, for coming in for an interview tonight and doing a song live on the air! I will post any updates on Chad's career here on the news page, and in the meantime be listening for his song Mostly I Lie as a Spotlight Flashback on Sunday nights.

In case you haven't noticed, the news that once appeared here in this spot was accidently deleted by me, so I lost all the old news! (Yes, I'm an idiot.) So I guess we are starting the News page all over, huh?!?

You'll notice if you looked at the Sunday Night Spotlight page that there were no Spotlights in the month of May. Well, technically there was, since I did one on the first Sunday night in May. I wound up having to take three weeks off during May for various reasons (nothing serious, so don't fret). I decided to just take May off from the Spotlights, accumulate some new music, and start fresh in June. On the first Sunday in June I replayed the Sunday Night Spotlight from the first Sunday in May, and changed the date on the Spotlight page.

I am back... tanned, rested, and ready for more fun on the Sunday Night Ride!
